Shoes, who would have thought...

Today I decided it was time for Colby to where shoes on a regular basis.  I have never made him wear them, because he hasn't really needed them, and it is so hot here.  Now that he is starting to stand more and trying to walk, I thought it was time.  After today's incident, I think I should have made him start earlier.  This is how he reacted.

Fun with Daddy!!

Now that Kurt has started school, our time with him seems so precious.  Colby loves it when daddy comes home and plays his guitar.  He trys to sing along with Kurt.  It's pretty funny.

Spending time with daddy on his day off.

Fun In Utah!

We had the opportunity to go to Utah for a few days before Kurt started school.  We had a great time hanging out and relaxing with family.  Colby sure had fun with his cousins.
Didn't think it would be that hard to get the kids to look at the camera.

The little kid rides made us more sick than the big rollercoasters.

First time at the lake.  He wasn't quite sure what to think.

First Visitor!

This last week we were lucky enough to have a visitor despite the 110 degree weather. My dad had a funeral to attend in Mesa and was able to come stay with us for a couple of nights. We had a great time at our first diamondbacks game and even witnessed them win. (I guess thats pretty rare) The statium was amazing. The roof closed over our heads to keep it cool. It was still pretty warm in there but we had a great time anyway. Thanks dad for enduring the hot weather. We had a blast!

Learning the hard way!!

Kurt has been working on the sprinklers recently and put a new part in our system one night. I guess it didn't fix the problem because when we woke up the next morning our backyard was a lake. The sprinklers had been running all night. There was about three inches of water throughout most of the yard. What a nightmare! I was so frustrated about all of the perfectly good water going to waste that I litterally spent an hour scooping up buckets of water and watering the plants in our front yard with it. I looked pretty rediculous. I guess our high water bill was worth it because our dead lawn has come back to life.

Keeping us on our toes

Colby had a great time playing in all of the moving boxes. He also kept getting stuck under the chairs, and constantly got into the dishes. Now that he is getting around much easier he is keeping us pretty busy.

The Big Move!

After what seemed like endless packing and unpacking, we are finally feeling settled in our home in Arizona. We moved from our apartment to my Grandma's in May and from Grandma's to Arizona in June. We couldn't have done it without all of the help from family and friends. Kurt became very ill the day we picked up our truck for the last move and his family loaded most of the truck for us. Our parents watched Colby while Kurt and I made the long drive down. Thanks everyone for making all of it possible. We are blessed to have such caring family and friends. We miss you already.
